Description
Unimprovable 1811 Large 8 Half Dollar, O-103, MS65
1811 50C Large 8 MS65 PCGS. O-103, R.4. The tiny die lines in front of the bust, near the milling, promptly identify this variety. What the O-103 identification fails to distinguish is the incredible premium toning, completely original, that appears evenly on each side. Concentric circles of mint-green, iridescent blue, and pinkish-gray form an appearance that is simply unsurpassable in terms of aesthetic appeal. Despite the intense coloration, brilliant mint luster proceeds unimpeded through to the viewer, and the sharp strike is every bit the match for a Gem classification. Simply unimprovable!(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24EU, PCGS# 6096, Greysheet# 6149)
