Description
1811 50C Small 8 MS62 PCGS. O-108a, R.2. The obverse has weak border detail and the reverse has absent border detail. Heavy flowlines extend the stars and letters to the border. The State a reverse clash marks and die cracks are fully evident on this piece.This delightful 1811 half dollar has satiny luster beneath delicate gold toning with a couple iridescent splashes on the obverse. A single short scratch is noted in the left obverse field above the drapery. This sharply struck coin from the Frederick Collection is highly desirable with excellent eye appeal.
