Description

Scarce 1811 O-107 Half Dollar, MS63

1811 50C Small 8 MS63 PCGS. O-107, R.4. This is a scarce 1811 half dollar variety, seldom found in higher Mint State grades. Possibly a Condition Census example, this piece is fully lustrous with satiny silver surfaces and faint traces of gold color. The upper obverse and lower reverse a weakly defined, suggesting either problems with die alignment in the press or perhaps a slightly tapered planchet.
