Highly Lustrous Choice AU 1812/1 Bust Half, O-102, R.2.
1812/1 50C Small 8 AU55 NGC. O-102, R.2. This example is well struck for the issue, despite some weakness that draws the peripheral devices toward the borders, on each side. Nearly as lustrous as a Mint State coin should be, this example is mostly untoned, but reveals a faint degree of purple-rose color in the upper left obverse field, and slight amounts of sky-blue and russet toning near some of the obverse and reverse peripheries.
