1812 50C MS66 NGC. Ex: Garrett, Kaufman. O-109a, R.2. Die damage (as made, and characteristic of the die state) above the olive leaves confirms the variety. A satiny and exactingly impressed Premium Gem that boasts deep golden-red, jade-green, and gunmetal-gray toning. A remarkable example of this early Capped Bust date. Census: 22 in 66, none finer (3/09).Ex: Randall Collection; Garrett Collection, (Bowers and Ruddy, 11/1979), lot 294.
