Description

1813 50C AU50 PCGS. O-102, High R.3. The dentils are nearly flat, as typically seen for this variety, and on the reverse the upright of the E in the motto is centered under the D in UNITED. An arc of purple toning at the lower left of the reverse contrasts nicely against the medium gray patina, while the reverse has accents of gold toning around the rims. The obverse shows clashmarks from the eagle, with the vertical lines of the shield visible on Liberty's temple and partially obscuring the bottom of the motto. Traces of mint luster sparkle in the fields.(Registry values: N991)
