O-103, Easily Attributable

1813 50C MS64 PCGS. O-103, R.2. An early die state without the usually-seen die break within the upper half of the 3 in the date. Overton-103 is readily attributed by the die lump near the crest of the eagle's left (facing) wing. This olive-green and pearl-gray half dollar is lustrous and nearly unabraded. The strike is intricate save for a few left-side stars. Struck from clashed dies. Population: 20 in 64, 4 finer (4/13).(Registry values: N2998)
