Description
Sharp 1814 Half Dollar, MS62, O-104a
1814 50C MS62 PCGS. O-104a, R.2. The low second 1 in the date, the center dot on crossbar 5, and the low 50 C. confirm the variety, while the obverse and reverse cracks affirm the later die state. Soft luster emanates from silver-gray surfaces that yield cobalt-blue, lavender, and gold-tan peripheral patination. A solid strike brings out nice detail on the motifs. A few minute marks occur on Liberty's portrait. A sharp Capped Bust half dollar.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24F3, PCGS# 6105, GSID# 6154)
