1814 O-103 Half Dollar, MS66
1814 50C MS66 NGC. O-103, R.1. A heavy die ridge from the
left end of the scroll down to the wing is common to all known
examples of O-103. Overton mentions obverse clash marks on most
specimens. However, this early die state specimen has no such clash
marks. A few high grade O-103 half dollars survive, and the present
specimen ranks among the five or six finest known.

This impressive Premium Gem has brilliant mint frost, showing ivory luster and peripheral gold toning with splashes of blue. Slight weakness is noted at the right (facing) claws and arrowheads, with all other details strongly defined.
