Description

1814 Half Dollar, O-107, MS64
Eye-Catching Originality and Luster

1814 50C O-107, R.2, MS64 NGC. CAC. The frosty surfaces display a pleasing mix of pale reddish-gold and blue toning with strong cartwheel luster across both sides. Multiply die clashed on both sides with a remarkably sharp strike given the middle state of the dies, the O-107 is best-identified by a lumplike defect in the angle of N in UNITED. This coin appears to be tied at the low end of the Condition Census for the variety according to the Steve Herrman listing, still housed in its prior generation NGC holder (7/16).
