Description
1814 50C AU 55 Scratches. O-105a, R.4. A scarcer variety, this is a remarkably attractive coin despite its impairment. Both sides are quite lustrous and the striking definition is relatively bold throughout. The otherwise silver-gray toning yields to deeper orange-olive shades around the obverse border. Unfortunate pinscratches are noted in the reverse field above the eagle's right (facing) wing.
