Description

Popular 1815/2 Half Dollar, XF Sharpness

1815/2 50C --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. XF Details. O-101, High R.2. The only variety known. Deep gunmetal-gray patina covers both sides. The stars are soft, as typical, but the rest of the details are boldly defined. The surfaces appear remarkably smooth to the unaided eye, and a close examination reveals no significant marks. A splendid example of this desirable variety despite cleaning.
