Description
Desired 1815/2 Half Dollar, O-101, XF Sharpness
1815/2 50C --Improperly Cleaned--NGC. XF Details. O-101, R.2. An unused die from 1812 was employed for this interesting overdate. The mintage for this coveted issue is a memorably low 47,150 coins, and only one die pairing is known for the survivors. This piece has silvery surfaces that are somewhat overbright from a past cleaning, but much pleasing detail remains, as expected, and this piece should find a nice home in a date or variety collection.(Registry values: N2998)Auction Info
