1815/2 O-101 Half Dollar, XF Details
Important Key Date
1815/2 50C O-101, R.1 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details.
XF. Mustard-russet in the protected areas contrasts with
lighter steel on the high points, with this contrast likely leading
to NGC's Improperly Cleaned assessment. A few old nicks on the
cheek do not detract from the overall eye appeal. The 1815 is the
key date in the half dollar series, with a mintage of only 47,150
examples, just 6% of second place 1807's reported mintage of
750,500. Only around 1,000-2,000 survive to this day.
