1815/2 O-101a Half Dollar, AU50
Splendid Key Date Piece

1815/2 50C O-101a, R.2, AU50 NGC. Russet and stone-gray alternate across this lightly circulated key-date half dollar. Luster glimmers from the margins and devices. A few minor obverse marks are of little import. At least four sets of clash marks are visible on the field beneath the scroll. Most Capped Bust half dollar dates have mintages in the millions, but the 1815/2 coinage was limited to 47,150 pieces.
