Description

1815/2 VF 30 NGC. O-101, R.2. A moderately circulated, although problem-free, representation of this important and elusive Bust half dollar. Both sides of this piece carry a deep layer of charcoal toning within the recessed areas that lightens to slate-gray over the highpoints. The faces are reasonably well centered, although we report that the obverse denticles have been largely lost to circulation. The remainder of the devices, save for the eagle's head and left (facing) wing, exhibit respectable detail for the grade. A wonderful opportunity for the Bust collector whose prior searches for an affordable survivor of this issue have been in vain.
