1817/3 50C AU58 NGC. O-101a, R.2. A spindly die crack from the olive leaves to the M in AMERICA identifies the later die state. Deep cobalt-blue, orange, and olive-gold envelop this unabraded overdate half. Liberty's forehead and curls exhibit moderate wear. Struck from multiply clashed dies.From The Joseph C.
