1817 Half Dollar, Choice AU
O-103, Punctuated Date

1817 50C 181.7, O-103, R.2, AU55 PCGS. CAC. Overton's "punctuated date" variety with a fairly large die dot between the 17 in the date. This lightly circulated example is draped in medium golden-brown and dove-gray shades with blushes of magenta and navy-blue near the rims. Luster illuminates peripheral elements, and marks are confined to a bright area below the right scroll end. Population (for the variety): 5 in 55, 6 finer (12/19).
