1817 50C AU55 PCGS. Ex: Meyer Collection. O-103a, R.3. A late die state of the "Punctuated Date" that lacks any indication of the die lump between the 17 in the date. Lustrous with light gold patina and only a few faint marks beneath the beak. Struck from multiply clashed dies. Once part of the legendary complete variety set of Overton halves owned by Charlton "Swampy" Meyer.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24F6, PCGS# 6109, GSID# 6156)
