1817 50C --Cleaned--ANACS. XF Details, Net VF30. O-106a, R.5. Although cleaned at one time, the surfaces have retoned in not unattractive lavender-gray shades. Neither sizeable abrasions nor excessive hairlines are noticed, and the central features retain suitable evidence of a bold strike. A VF30 representative of this rare die marriage was sold by Superior as lot 5516 in their Hudson River Valley Sale (2/01). That coin realized $207.
