Description
1818 MS 63 Obverse Scratch. O-112, R.1. A fantastic example of this date and well within the condition census for the variety, but with an old, thin scratch running diagonally across the obverse from the bottom left rim, through the bust and to the right rim between the 9th and 10th stars. Both sides display an incredibly beautiful rainbow toning usually seen only on the MS 67 versions of this type.
