Description

1819 O-109a Half Dollar, MS62
Beautiful Example of a Scarce Die State

1819 50C O-109a, R.4, MS62 PCGS. Silver surfaces are highlighted with blue-steel regions and a hint of russet. Striking weakness is limited to the highest points of the obverse curls and reverse wing feathers. Abrasions are minimal for the grade. The scarce late die state of O-109 is easily confirmed by the line joining both the top and bottom of the TE in STATES.
