Description

1819 O-110a Half Dollar, MS63
Sharp and Appealing

1819 50C O-110a, R.3, MS63 NGC. CAC. Moderately scarce as a variety and seldom available in Select or finer Mint State, the O-110a shows recutting and die defects at star 7 and the bases of the A's in AMERICA nearly closed. A die crack at the top of UNITED extends around nearly the entire reverse. Despite the late die state, the strike is pinpoint sharp on this frosty, iridescently toned coin. Housed in an early, pre-barcode NGC holder. CAC endorsed. Census (all 1819 varieties combined): 14 in 63 (1 in 63+), 23 finer. CAC: 3 in 63, 9 finer (7/16).
Purchased from Ellesmere Numismatics in 1/1992.
