Description
1820/19 50C Square Base 2 AU50 PCGS. O-101, R.2. Overdate collectors form a subset all of their own. The Capped Bust half dollars offer a wealth of overdates, ranging from conditionally common to extremely rare. This variety is one of the many Guide Book-listed overdates, with bold evidence of the underlying 19. The present coin has silver-white centers bordered by deep amber-gold and lilac patina on each side.
