Description

1823 50C MS62 NGC. O-106, R.3. The obverse is golden-brown with an ocean-blue and ruby-red border. The reverse has only a hint of peripheral tan toning. Lustrous and attractive. One of several varieties of 1823 halves with a misshapen 3 in the date. However, Overton failed to grant O-106 a memorable moniker, unlike the "Ugly 3" O-110a or the "Patched 3" O-102.(Registry values: N1793)
