Description
1825 Bust Half, High-Luster MS64
O-106, Recut Flag on 5
1825 50C O-106, R.3, MS64 PCGS. This is a sparkling near-Gem
example of the scarce O-106 early die state, lacking any of the die
cracks that soon develop for the variety. Satiny mint luster beams
brightly over smooth, sharply struck surfaces that display a medley
of earthy colors -- gunmetal blue, umber, forest-green, deep
aquamarine, and stone-gray. The flag of 5 is broadly recut to
provide instant confirmation of the variety. Tied for third in the
Spring, 2018 Steve Herrman Condition Census for the variety.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24FL, Variety PCGS# 39652, Base PCGS# 6142, GSID# 193934)
