1826 Half Dollar, MS65
Single Finest Known O-107
1826 50C O-107, R.3, MS65 NGC. Die cracks through the upper
and lower reverse border confirm the moderately scarce Overton
variety. The obverse toning is divided into approximately equal
thirds of orange-red, powder-blue, and ivory-gray. The reverse has
only a hint of golden patina. Lustrous and lovely with a sharp
strike aside from the upper two left-side stars. Listed as single
finest for the marriage in Stephen J. Herrman's Spring 2022
