Description

Well Struck 1827 Square Base 2 Fifty Cent
MS62, O-133

1827 50C Square Base 2 MS62 NGC. O-133, R.4. The scarce Overton-133 has several diagnostics, such as several repunched stars, a diagonal die line in the field above the right (facing) claw, two "spikes" extending from the top of the left (facing) wing into the field (these show clearly on the 2005 Parsley/Overton plate coin), and a line above the LI in LIBERTY. Splashes of electric-blue and purple toning visit the luminous surfaces of this well struck specimen. A few trivial obverse marks are not bothersome.(Registry values: N1793)
