Late Die State
1827 50C Square Base 2, O-113a, R.4, MS62 NGC. BHNC Die
State 113.2. A bold die crack curves through the right obverse
field on this late die state piece that ranks in the Condition
Census for the O-113 die pair. Only three finer examples have
appeared at auction over the last dozen years. This lovely Mint
State example has full luster beneath lovely gold, rose, and
steel-blue toning.Ex: Liberty Rare Coins (4/19/2015).
