Description

1827 50C Square Base 2, O-114, R.3, MS63 PCGS. BHNC Die State 114.1. This piece is tied for the fifth finest of those recorded in Donald Parsley's census. On the obverse a hair strand touches the bottom of the R in LIBERTY, and the base of the 7 is recut. The lustrous surfaces of this Select specimen are essentially untoned. Sharply struck throughout
