Description

1827 O-137 Half Dollar, XF40
Important Low R.6 Die Marriage

1827 50C Square Base 2, O-137, Low R.6, XF40 PCGS. BHNC Die State 137.1. Deep olive and amber-gray hues complement tinges of teal on each side, with subtle hints of luster in the recesses. Only a touch of wear over the high points of the design. This rare die variety is easily identified by the presence of several die marks off the eagle's right wing below the RI in AMERICA, along with the extreme T-I position. This reverse was also used for the O-109 and O-110 varieties. An important coin for the Overton variety specialist.
