1827 50C Square Base 2, O-145, R.5, AU55 PCGS. Minuscule die defects are observed around 50 C on the reverse of this important half dollar from a die pair that is infrequently encountered. Stephen Herrman's record of auction appearances includes jut six finer examples over the last two decades. This highly lustrous Choice AU example has rainbow toning that exhibits vibrant iridescent blue and green over a base of golden-gray hues. Exceptional eye appeal provides a grand opportunity.
