Rare 1827 O-144 Half, XF45
1827 50C Square Base 2 XF45 ANACS. O-144, High R.5. The obverse has a small point or tine from the end of the drapery, and the reverse has several vertical shield lines extending into the horizontal lines. This is a rare variety with a single Mint State coin and possibly eight to 10 that grade XF or AU, including the present piece. It has pleasing silver-gray surfaces with faint gold toning and traces of luster.(Registry values: N491)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24FN, PCGS# 6144, GSID# 6184)
