1827 50C Square Base 2 XF45 ANACS. O-108a, R.4. According to Glenn Peterson, strikes from these dies were interrupted by 1828 O-101, which shares the same reverse die. The second pairing of the O-108 dies is noted for a die lump above the crossbar of the F in OF. This dusky silver-gray example is unabraded aside from nearly imperceptible hairlines.(Registry values: N491)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24FN, PCGS# 6144, GSID# 6184)
