Description
1828 50C Square 2, Small 8 AU 55 NGC. O-118, R.3. A well executed example, the star centrils and hair curls on the obverse, as well as the eagle's feathers on the reverse, are all uncommonly sharp for the type. The toning is essentially olive-charcoal in shade, but areas of lighter, steel-gray color are noted in the reverse field. A relatively smooth coin for the grade.
