Spectacular MS64 1828 O-122 Half
1828 50C Square Base 2, Small 8, Large Letters MS64 PCGS. O-122, R.3. A spectacular near-Gem and probably close to finest known for the variety. Recent auction records indicate that only one or two finer examples survive. This piece has a remarkable presentation of light silver-gray at the centers, framed by gold, russet, green, and iridescent toning on both sides.
