1828 O-116 Half Dollar, MS64
Lovely Near-Gem Specimen

1828 50C Square Base 2, Small 8s, Large Letters, O-116, R.2, MS64 PCGS. The O-116 obverse has star 13 nearly touching the curl, while the reverse has the left sides of T-I in line. Light silver-gray obverse toning with dashes of gold along with a deeper dusky gray on the right side. The reverse has light golden-gray centers with darker gray at the rims. This example has a solid strike with some stars being flat as usual. Only minuscule contact marks are seen under magnification. Frosty luster in the fields and on the devices of this lovely near-Gem specimen.
