1828 50C Curl 2, No Knob AU 58 NGC. O-101, R.1. This reverse die was also used in 1827. Dappled orange-russet and olive peripheral patina frames the slate-gray centers of this well defined example. We can find no abrasions that infringe on this coin's pleasing eye appeal.
