Gem 1829 Capped Bust Half, O-112
Only Three Finer PCGS Coins

1829 50C Small Letters MS65 PCGS. O-112, R.1. Twenty die varieties are known for the 1829 Capped Bust half dollar, utilizing combinations of 11 obverse and 16 reverse dies. The coin offered here shows the parallel die lines below star 13 that indicate the available O-112 variety.
The present coin is a spectacular Gem, with an eye-catching patina of gold, sea-green, cerulean-blue, and gray hues. The design elements are sharply detailed in all areas, except for a touch of flatness on the upper stars. Eye appeal is outstanding. Housed in a green label holder.
