1830 O-116 Half Dollar, MS64
Russet and Steel-Blue Highlights
1830 50C Small 0, O-116, R.2, MS64 NGC. Silver surfaces
contain significant luster as well as russet and steel-blue toning
around the periphery. As the near-Gem grade suggests, abrasions are
nearly nonexistent. No significant striking weakness is noted. The
O-116 die marriage represents the only use of both the obverse and
reverse die, and the latter can be easily recognized by the scroll
ending further under the left upright of M than on any other Small
0 die marriage.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24FU, Variety PCGS# 39827, Base PCGS# 6156, Greysheet# 194378)
