Description
1831 50C AU58 NGC. O-104, R.1. A number of die lines below the bust identify the obverse, and another die defect through the upper berry of the olive branch is diagnostic for the reverse. This briefly circulated example has a peppering of light hazel toning across the bright silver-gray surfaces, which exhibit dazzling luster throughout. The URI in PLURIBUS and a couple of hair curls are weak, as usual, but the stars are all sharply struck. A close inspection with a loupe reveals only a couple of tiny marks on the obverse.
