Description

1831 50C O-101, R.2, MS64 PCGS. The spacing of the date and the horizontal and vertical lines extending beyond the borders of the shield are useful in identifying this available die pair. Much luster covers both sides, which are richly toned in grayish-bronze shades with pinkish-gold accents joined by ice-blue overtones, a no-question near-Gem coin, beautiful and high-end for the grade. This O-101 is tied within the Condition Census for the variety behind two full Gem coins.
Ex: Pittsburgh Signature (Heritage, 10/2011), lot 3697.
