Description
1831 O-104 Half Dollar, MS64
Smooth and Originally Toned
1831 50C O-104, R.1, MS64 PCGS. A relatively thick die line
through the upper olive berry is Dr. Peterson's pick-up point for
the Overton-104 variety. The present near-Gem is just outside the
O-104 Condition Census, but is nonetheless an exceptional example
boasting attractive medium-brown toning and remarkably unblemished
surfaces. The strike is sharp except on the RI in PLURIBUS and the
AT in STATES above. From The LS Collection.
