Description
1832 50C Small Letters MS61 NGC. O-110, R.1. A spike at the top of the cap identifies the obverse, and the 5 in the denomination is slightly recut on the outer curve. Significant luster shimmers beneath the gunmetal-gray patina, which has splendid accents of rose and russet toning around the perimeter. A streak of darker toning bisects the reverse. The details are boldly impressed with excellent sharpness on several stars and the motto on the reverse, save for the usual weakness on the A in STATES. Several marks define the grade, and a shallow dig is noted near star 10. (Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24FW, PCGS# 6160, GSID# 6200)
