Small Date and Small Letters

1834 50C Small Date, Small Letters, O-109, R.1, MS64 PCGS. CAC. This beautifully toned Choice Uncirculated half dollar displays aquamarine borders and chestnut-gold centers. The coruscating surfaces are unabraded aside from a hair-thin horizontal line beneath 50 C. on the reverse exergue. A couple of the stars are softly impressed, but most of the design is pinpoint sharp. Just outside the Condition Census for the die pairing. Population: 76 in 64 (4 in 64+), 13 finer. CAC: 17 in 64, 11 finer (2/17).
