Pleasing 1835 Gem Half Dollar, O-109

1835 50C MS65 ICG. O-109, R.2. Star 7 is minutely recut, the upper lip is curled, and there is a shallow center dot between crossbars 3 and 4. The fields of this Gem are semiprooflike and the design elements are sharply struck, save for minor softness in some of the star centers. Light gold, well preserved surfaces display splashes of sky-blue and purple. Difficult to locate in this level of preservation.(Registry values: N4719)
