Description

1818 50C O-112a, R.5, XF45 PCGS. Overton-112 is a plentiful die variety of the 1818 half dollar, but the late die state variant, Overton-112a, with a crack through the date and right-hand stars, is scarce. This Choice XF example displays little wear and has remnants of luster in the protected portions of the fields. Slate-gray interiors cede to original olive-gold and russet border toning. A pleasing collector coin.
