1823 O-111 Half, MS64+
Elusive Early Die State
1823 50C O-111, R.3, MS64+ PCGS. CAC. The very scarce early
die state for the variety without the die crack through the first
four stars. This example is choice with bright underlying mint
luster. Dappled green-gold and silver-gray patina drapes much of
each side, and blue and peach accents also appear. For non-Guide
Book varieties, PCGS has graded just 11 finer examples
(5/19).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2009), lot 741.(Registry values: N2998)
