1830 Capped Bust Half, MS64
O-122, Large 0 Subtype
1830 50C Large 0, O-122, R.1, MS64 PCGS Gold Shield. One of
four Large 0 die marriages among the 23 1830 varieties, Overton-122
is the most readily available representative of the Large 0 type.
This near-Gem example is lustrous and sharply struck, with vibrant
blue toning accents at the margins and wisps of pale-gold patina
through the centers. Several of the horizontal shield lines extend
well into the right-side wing feathers to confirm the O-122
variety. There are no abrasions or marks of note visible on the
