Description

1818 B-10 Quarter, Toned MS62
Lustrous and Appealing

1818 25C B-10, R.3, MS62 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 4/4. The dies are clashed, but many of the resultant marks are lapped away in this late die state. On the reverse, a radial die crack extends upward through the 2 in 25 C., and another stretches horizontally across the shield and the eagle's right (facing) wing to the R in AMERICA. This Uncirculated Capped Bust type coin is well-struck save for on stars 4 through 6, and it displays original luster in the fields. Greenish-gold toning covers much of each side, ceding to warmer orange-gold around portions of the borders.
